Today, Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49) released the following statement regarding his vote in support of H.R. 529, the Extending Limits of U.S. Customs Waters Act. This bill would strengthen U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) capabilities to protect our nation’s maritime borders by extending U.S. customs waters from 12 to 24 nautical miles. Oceanside, CA - Today, Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49) and local community leaders announced over $17.7 million in new federal funding for 15 new community projects and priorities throughout California’s 49th District. The funds were allocated as part of the Fiscal Year 2024 government funding bill signed by President Biden in March to fund the federal government through September 30, 2024.
