Rep. Mike Levin Statement on Swearing-In of 117th Congress
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Mike Levin (CA-49) released the following statement on being sworn-in to serve California’s 49th Congressional District in the 117th Congress:
“Serving North County San Diego and South Orange County in Congress is the honor of a lifetime, and I deeply appreciate the faith my constituents have placed in me to continue this important work on their behalf,” said Rep. Levin. “As I have said since my first days in office, my name may be on the door, but this office really belongs to the people I serve, and I intend to continue to treat it that way. I will continue to focus on working across the aisle to deliver results on our local priorities and remaining as accessible and transparent as possible. I know that my constituents – like millions of Americans across the country – are still struggling to endure this pandemic and desperately need more relief. As we begin the 117th Congress, my top priorities are crushing this virus, providing more economic relief for families and small businesses in our District, and continuing important work for our veterans and our environment.”
